Transaction Confidence
Make pending, delayed, failed and reversed transfers easy to understand without forcing customers to chase support.
Product Strategy · UX · Fintech
An independent product teardown and interactive prototype focused on transaction confidence, service recovery, money-state clarity and recurring-money intelligence.
Proposal thesis
Kuda 3.0 has already improved discoverability. The next product opportunity is confidence: helping customers understand what is happening when money is pending, balances change, support is needed, repayments are due or recurring commitments approach.
Open Interactive PrototypeProduct opportunities
Make pending, delayed, failed and reversed transfers easy to understand without forcing customers to chase support.
Carry transaction and product context directly into support so customers do not need to explain the app back to the company.
Make current balance, available balance, pending funds, savings, investments and credit states reconcile clearly.
Keep Kuda 3.0 clean while surfacing the single most important financial action when it genuinely matters.
Move from finding app features to answering bounded questions about a customer's own financial activity.
Bring bills, direct debit mandates, subscriptions and scheduled commitments into one understandable view.
Product evolution
The earlier review identified discoverability, navigation, search, security visibility and financial clarity as important areas to strengthen.
Kuda 3.0 moved part of that conversation forward. Rather than proposing another broad redesign, this iteration deliberately shifts the focus toward what happens after a customer finds the right feature: understanding money states, recovering from exceptions and knowing exactly what happens next.
Earlier focus
Navigation, discoverability, basic search, feature visibility and clearer access to security controls.
Current proposal
Transaction resolution, balance-state reliability, contextual support, recurring commitments and trustworthy financial answers.
Product decisions
I would prioritise work by customer harm and uncertainty, how often the problem occurs, and whether the product can resolve it safely. A confusing money state or an unclear pending transfer can undermine trust at the moment it matters most; adding more discovery or intelligence features does not fix that underlying uncertainty.
First
Explain pending, available, completed and reversed states with consistent language and a clear next update.
Next
Connect transaction context to support, prevent duplicate requests and make the next checkpoint visible.
Then
Test contextual home, search answers and recurring-payment insights only after data quality, consent and usefulness are clear.
This is a proposed sequencing model, not a claim about Kuda’s internal roadmap or access to its customer analytics.
Measurement
The goal is not simply to ship more UI. The confidence layer should reduce uncertainty, prevent avoidable support demand and make exception journeys easier for customers to resolve without losing trust in the product.
Contact rate
Support contacts per failed or delayed transaction.
Exception CSAT
Customer satisfaction after delayed, failed or reversed journeys.
Self-service resolution
Exceptions resolved without requiring an agent.
Duplicate-ticket rate
Repeat support cases created for the same transaction.
Money-state discrepancy
Reports where customers believe displayed balances do not reconcile.
Search success
Queries that return a useful answer or successful navigation outcome.
Recurring-item accuracy
Detected recurring payments customers confirm rather than dismiss.
